Tricks
- Subsume uses Address Book for names, nicknames and photos from your contacts, if open or hidden (you should set both it and Subsume to Open at Login).
- You can add a custom relationship field to contacts called 'computer', with the bonjour computer name for that contact.
- Add a custom relationship field to contacts called 'gender', to have gender specific alerts (values of male/female or m/f).
- Complete the IM account fields for contacts, and you won't get duplicate alerts if a contact is already online.
Changes
- v0.8 24th Nov.: Compatible with Leopard; fix for Facebook 'is is' status; adds IM status rules for Miro/Joost/DVD Player; icon changes and a notification is displayed when a new status/activity is started; version checking.
- v0.6 20th Sep.: Ignores Bonjour network events resulting from network interruptions, and fixes a bug that introduced duplicated notifications.
- v0.5 16th Sep.: Now supports MySpace, and setting of your IM status when watching movies/TV in VLC; restructured code and preferences, added Bonjour parsing for people whose names end with s.
- v0.4 27th Aug.: Fixed crashing, handling of friends with no status, and LAN computers with names not mapped to people; adds a hidden preference to get status updates of specified non-friends in your networks.
